We provided several photographs of our basement to our decorator which although finished, wasn't decorated.  We told decorator that our first priority was selecting new flooring and paint colors.  We said we had a budget of $4000.  While discussing flooring on our intial conference call that was covered in the price, we said we were interested in either hardwood or laminate flooring and wondered about in-floor heating.  We were advised that we could do this and samples would be sent to us. 

We were emailed a link to a company that provides infloor heating, and we requested a quote from them, which turned out to be $7000. It seems to us that a knowledgeable decorator would have been able to tell us that infloor heating was not in our budget. 

The flooring samples never showed up, even though I requested them again.  So I thougt I would move on ...
